Just 4-5″ tall, American Goldfinches are common to North America, and their migration time is between late fall and early spring. Found in backyards, forests, and meadows they often eat sunflower or safflower seeds in feeders as well as those from trees or plants and insects. Goldfinches also flock to forests, grasslands, and meadows. This bird is said to represent the soul, happiness, love and positive energy across various traditions.
