I created this painting after an inspiring journey to the ancient ruins in the Yucatan, Mexico. As humans we are continuously connected to where we have come from and to each other through DNA. We build new bridges over what has come before by honoring this sacred connection among all life on earth. My unique method of bead embroidery -stitched through the canvas and sealed- is a highlight of this piece and I chose a special ornate gold frame which felt fitting for it as well.
