I’m proud to announce I have finally received my Natural Science Illustration Certificate from RISD! My final presentation (below) includes both paintings and scientific field guide pages that I designed on Oregon Willamette Valley Birds + Their Habitats. Each of these works was a product of many hours of study and field research. I chose five common birds native to the Willamette Valley in their preferred environments. Each bird needs certain food sources and micro-climates to thrive. Read on to learn more fascinating facts about each species pictured. One day I may compile a book with more Oregon birds and field guide pages. 😊
